Posting this here cuz I tried to post on r/leaves but they dont like cbd over there for some reason?

Just for context Ive been smoking weekly at least since 2021 but its been gradually getting worse and I got to the point of wake and baking for 3-4 months. This might only have worked cuz I wasnt dependent for that long.

Anyway if you cant just quit cold turkey start replacing ur shit with higher cbd content and less thc weed. You can still smoke the same amount. The only thing we can scientifically prove cbd does is it lessens the effect of thc. Either though mixing strains or buying different flower every week, thats all you gotta do. If u cant access the fancy cbd weed, get ur hands on a cbd dab pen or drops and start ripping it during ur seshes. Cbds alot more legal then thc so it shouldn’t be that hard in the states (Am Canadian). If you wean off like this I didnt even notice that much of a difference day to day. I didnt really have to add that much to my habits and I felt high for ab the same amount of time

The process might take a while but when you can stomach it slowly lessen the amount of actual flower ur smoking and start to detach it from the things u do every day. I went from smoking like a gram a day to almost nothing now in a month and a half and I feel very little withdrawal. I havent fully quit yet but my cravings are super manageable and Im on a schedule of smoking high cbd weed and then adding a day to each gap between seshes to avoid withdrawl.

If u still get depressed and shit after a few weeks of quitting go to therapy !! Its prob not the weed its prob ur brain lol !! It will help u out and you wont be able to quit without it probably !!

TLDR: use cbd to lessen the ur thc high more and more, over time youll not want it as much and it makes quitting easier and keeps your limbic system happy cuz it gets what it thinks it wants anyway
