SUDCC II. I’ve been in the field for 5 years and have pretty much maxed out my ability to raise my title. I need 2 years of supervisor experience to be able to be a SUD supervising counselor II. My question is how do I get experience being a supervisor counselor? Should I just apply for the position, do I need to find a mentor? I am 26 and graduate with my BA. I want to progress in my career, but do not know how to move onto a supervisor role as all I’ve ever been is a bilingual group counselor (Spanish,English).
