So I was listening to the classic that is No Lie by 2 Chainz featuring Drake just now, and it reminded me of something I don't see brought up often.

In Drake's verse, he references a girl called "what's her name?" Which is clearly about Rihanna given their first song together was "What's My Name". No Lie dropped in 2012 when Drake was fighting Chris Breezy in SoHo over her. I would bet my life it's referring to her.

May 2013, Kendrick starts off the Black Hippy remix to UOENO by taking back to back shots at Drake.

"I fucked up the rap game and you ain't even know it, I just fucked "what's her name" and you ain't even know it". Obviously the first part is probably because he recorded Control around the same time as the remix to UOENO. Second part is probably the most direct "I fucked your girl" he could have put in a song without name dropping either Drake and Rihanna.

Beef seems to quite down for a few years. But then Drake and RiRi reconcile for a bit in 2016, drop Work and One Dance, but then split again shortly after. And then what does Kendrick do in spring 2017? Drops a song called Loyalty with Rihanna that was obviously a subliminal diss towards Drake.

So imagine you're Drake, and Kendrick:

a) Fucks your girl and calls you out publicly in a song for it

b) Name drops you on Control

c) Very likely fucks your girl again, then does a song called Loyalty with her which is clearly a shot at you.

d) Disses you again on a song with two of your former closest collaboraters.

Drake better come with some heat soon, I can't see my GOAT go out like that.

Part of me wonders if the lack of response is because he knows Kendrick has some dirt on him... What would be bigger dirt than something relating to Rihanna?
