My least favorite book in the series is Paths of Darkness Book 2: Spine of the World. It follows Wulfgar from his days as a bouncer in Luskan then him going north to Auckney and rescuing/stealing the child and everything between. I just don't like listening/reading about Wulfgar at rock bottom and the entirety of the Auckney plot is boring and annoying to me. Going back through the series again and tempted to just skip it and read the plot summary.
What is your least favorite book in the series?
Same! I don't love the "drizzt thinks he's in hell" plot in a couple of the later books, but the "Wulfgar is sad" plot didn't interest me at all. I've heard some folks say it was a great representation of the PTSD he'd have and how difficult it would be - and I am not taking that away from the story - I just didn't care for it. When I do re-reads, I usually skip the Paths series (except where it ties into Sellswords which is great).
