Ghost Manor 1-2 choice lcoked?? (can't get 1-5)

Hey all - so I dug around and looked at a few walkthroughs but it this problem doesn't seem to be brought up at all. On 1-2 of GM I am locked to the choice of going inside vs looking around outside to unlock 1-5. I've changed my choices a few times in 1-1 to try to open the choice again in 1-2 for going inside or looking around outside but they don't seem to effect it.

~~Anyone got tips for getting the choice to look around outside to open in 1-2?~~

Edit: I figured out what was going wrong. They change the place where you make the choice after the first time. (I think, its been a long day for me).
