I’ve noticed that after I have a creepy dream, my mind sends me to this town that’s full of everything I like. It’s like my brain trying to pacify whatever I just experienced in the previous dream. I love this town and always wish it was real. It looks like an amalgamation of all New England towns plus Sao Miguel (azores) smushed into one. Close buildings lining a street, all art and thrift and trinket shops and good food, real bakeries and cute restaurants. Barely any doors, all the shops are open and welcoming. In one dream I lived above one of the shops. The aesthetic is kind of like what you’d see in Beauty and the Beast. I always go to this one antique store and shop around until I wake up.
