The most calming dream I've ever had.
Post Body

The hospital was on a mountain of sorts, golden brown like spannish rock. Through the window the day was clearly beautiful, sky the brightest blue, and not a cloud to be seen. Inside, it was like being underwater. Everything was tinged a deep blue, and the temperature was cool and pleasant, despite what I would assume the heat outside would be.

The hospital itself looks victorian, if delapated, and she sits on a rusting iron cot, staring into the perfect world outiside the window. I did not know her, but her pale complexion contrasted with her deep black hair. She was shoeless, and wearing nothing more than a long white cotton gown, the hem ending just above her ankle, as she sits cross legged.

I step closer, almost floating. I stare out of the window and see a procession of black cars driving to the front of the hospital all in a perfect line and perfect colour. I'm quite sure that is how I arrived, up that long winding road in a black car. What is beyond the road I'm unsure, it may have been a large town or miles of country.

I look at the young woman, and she turns to look at me with a caring smile. I feel myself do the same; It was deeply comforting.

The feeling is something I would wish to focus on, as Its something I haven't really felt. This deep feeling of calm. I think of it as if I had had a harrowing journey by myself, one that was deeply troubling. In her smile, I felt as if she knew exactly what I had gone through and understood how difficult it was. If I wished to extend this understanding to those only now arriving, but this is when I awoke.

I've been thinking about this one all day. I told my gf and she thought it sounded almost like limbo. I'd be interested to see what others may think.
