Voilent Dream (notes)

(I am not at all a voilent person. Im very chill and very well tempered and I've never even been in a physical fight before so a dream this voilent and graphic made me feel so disturbed and confused. )

TLDR: got attacked and killed a guy violently in self defence in my dream.

I was walking down the street at night heading home. (felt like a street I used to live on but it wasn't and also the house was one I've never live in the layout was fully generated in my brains ai lol )

As I turned the corner down my block, I noticed someone following me maybe 15 feet behind. He was a tall skinny man with glasses ... I felt uneasy because it was late and dark so i started walking faster... I peek over my shoulder and notice the guy also speeds up so I take off running and so does he.

He catches up to me and grabs me by the shoulders, I struggle and try to get him off me so I push and slam him against the big metal gate next to us.. next thing I know Im behind him.. ( I had a small knife in my pocket for self defence because i was attacked before... dont rememeber detsils just rememebr it happened ) I pull out my knife and stab him a few times in the side ... Then i grab him from the back of the head and I slam his face against a metal fence post so hard and after 3 or 4 slams his face is caved in and so bloody and mangled ( it was a square metal post with a top piece with sharp corners ...this dream felt so real I felt the vibrations from slamming his head.)

My hand is covered in blood and I look down and see his body laying lifeless and bloody and I panicked and ran home hiding my hand in my pocket once I was home... i was looking out my window and see people standing by the guys body panicing and screaming ...next thing I know i was in the basement where my sister was working out on an exercise bike and playing music.

I heard talking upstairs that sounded loud so I tell my sister to pause the music and I listen and hear my family arguing with the police in my defense ( dont know how i understood that was what was happening i just did) ... I then remember that I had killed someone else in self defense and never told anyone (again don't remember details in the dream I just remember that it happened ) panic sets in my brain and I think to myself that I'm a murder and I'm going to jail even though it was self defense.... (that's where the dream ended and I woke up absolutely disturbed and confused as to what the fuck my brain has just cooked up)

For context I just had a major life change.. traveled across the country for seasonal work so I'm guessing the dream was a result of stress from that move.. also I don't rememeber my dreams often it's very rare and also it's never been this detailed or has felt this realistic mostly when I rememebera dream its just images or short unclear scenes but this dream was very vivid and long ... also I had this dream while asleep from 3 am to 6 am after using the bathroom at night and immediately started typing this put bepfore I forget any details so please forgive the janky typing and horrible Grammer ... I don't expect to find any meaning or understand of My dream by sharing it I just don't know what to think and felt I needed to share it with someone so who better than the reddit homies.
