Why are my dreams so scary? Is this normal?

Post Body

Im a highschool student that gets around 5-8 hours each night. aleast once a week i get these horribly vivid nightmares that either end once i die, or stay after i wake up. For example, 2 nights ago i went to sleep a little late, I had a dream about a woman pretending to be my mom and leading me to a dark, empty path while she guided me, holding my hand. I caught on and told her that she was not my mom and i woke up all of a sudden. I felt a breath on my neck and heard "if you do that again ill f###ing kill you". Dreams like that one really scare me. I promise yall im not trying to be edgy or cool, and i usually shake off dreams that stay dreams, but these like dreams are like sleep paralysis but i can move and think freely, i just choose not to out of fear. Please help me fix this, i've also been alot more angry and irrational recently if that helps.

My dreams were horrifying right up until the moment I stopped eating gluten.

Definitely not a one-size-fits-all solution, and probably uncommon, but it could be worth looking into a nutrition-related fix, especially if you have other things going on like itchy skin/ abdominal pain/ lethargy/ irritability, etc.
