I don't dream every night, not that I can recall anyways. But when I do dream, they're intense. It's like I'm in a video game or a movie, and the ones I do remember have such profound details they feel real. I'm not sure of it's due to my insomnia or food before bed. Or if it's anything at all to have dreams like this, but they're always intense and extremely detailed like this.
The most recent dream I had, I was with my partner on a trip somewhere, it had beaches and forests and it was the summertime. I remember we were there for some big event, and there were all sorts of shops in a town or small city, like a downtown area. I bumped into someone and they spilled their food, so I offered to replace it for them and they told me where to get it. Well, I got lost and went alone, and thought I could cut through a park to get back.
I don't think it was a park, and there were these gross monsters out of nowhere, like giant spiders and orcs yelling and like, growling at me. I yelled out either, "no" or "get away" and threw my arm out in their direction. I do talk with my hands, so it's like a "get outta here" type action? Anyway I start blasting blue and orange energy, or magic when I do this, the gross things crumble away into little cubes/pixels like a video game.
I was super excited and just kept running through the "quest"? I was having too much fun blasting baddies to care I was lost anymore I guess lol.
So I get to the end, and its this silver/blue oriental dragon that can talk. He tells me if I can defeat him, I win, I believe so anyway. It was along those lines, like he was the final boss. I feel really pompous like oh yeah I have magic pfft piece of cake, and start throwing magic arcs? It was like a video game, for real. Ah but the dragon was some type of machine, and could pull out metal shields that were impervious to my magic.
I'm kinda freaking out now, and I don't remember what happens if I lose, but it probably wasn't good. I get a weird advantage, dodging and then jumping on the back of the dragons head and I open up his head panel. I remember distinctly strumming the electrical wires there like a guitar, they were black, blue, rubber and taut. I asked him if he needed these intact, and he was way less scary now, begging me not to fry his processors.
There was a blue light with a clear plastic? I don't think it'd be metal, like a little USB port. I'm not sure why, but I started talking to the machine dragon about this world, the waking world, and the internet, cars, phones, etc. He said he's never seen these things. And I'm not sure why, but I asked him if he wanted to come back with me. So, I took his USB drive and plugged him into our PC at home, my real home in the dream. Not sure why it skipped the boring getting home part lol. He uploaded as a dragon and we have a monitor/TV setup that he flew upwards all sparkly and cool. It made me think of Haku.
It was pretty cute at the end, and I keep getting these dreams that I really want to somehow turn into stories. I don't understand how they're so intense and detailed, I was cold fighting those monsters, it was cooler in the evening when I got there. This isn't the first time I've dreamt of dragons either and I know this is long, sorry, but is this, odd? I don't know if it's from my creative brain, an almagalmation of video games, books and anime, or what. I havent played anything reminiscent of this dream nor do I honestly know that much about technology.
If these are different, more intense dreams, what's the next step? Do I try lucid dreaming? 🤔 I'm just unsure and thought I would share this cool /weird dream to see what you all might think. I like them and i feel silly but it makes me think of Ice King getting stories beamed into my head at night haha! So I'm happy if its just fun. I also don't feel like my dreams correlate to dream dictionaries, but I can depict other intense ones I've had too if you'd like. I've touched Ice dragons, ridden on fire wyverns, vampires, ghost bears, theyre just random and fun mostly.
Well, thanks for reading, any advice would be greatly appreciated! If this isn't the correct format, I do apologize as I'm on mobile.
