Dream about Drowning
Post Body

Hi everyone! I don't remember everything about the dream but I'll try to type out as much as I can remember because it was very unnerving. I had a dream that I was running away from something as if I was hiding or something like that and I ended up on top of a canal that wasn't frozen. I was hovering over it and my dad couldn't see me or anything but he was calling for me and talking to me and then all the sudden out of nowhere I begin to sink into the water and start drowning. It was like my shoes were made of lead. As I'm underwater, my dad is still talking to me above the water. Again, he can't see me or anything but he's talking to me as if I'm not even in the water to begin with. And as he is talking to me I start panicking because I'm drowning and sinking. So I lean over in the water to start in tying my shoes, and I sink completely to the bottom. I'm panicking at this point thinking about to die and no one's going to know that I'm about to die. I look up from the water and see how far it would be to swim up and I'm thinking even if I do untie my shoes, I might not make it in time. But I try to untie them again. I'm panicking so much I can convince myself to wake up. Before this I was at some sort of either massage studio or hair salon. Something of that nature with another person. And my mom was getting something done. But something in me told me I needed to leave and either hide or run. The water in the canal was green from algae or pollution as well as a dark murky color. And either side of the canal was made of either brick or metal.

This dream was very scary but I was also surprised that I could wake myself up.
