Or highly imaginative? 🤔

TDLR: I had a dream today during a little nap that was so bizarre and highly detailed that it felt very strange.

Apparently in this dream I'm investigating this church for Cult practices. I'm not a big church fan in reality, and listening to mysterious universe definitely could feed into a dream like this.

Anyway, I'm at this massively ornate church, the fancy ones that have concerts and coffee shops inside and it was very gaudy, extra, superficial, whatever you want to call it. I'm pretending to be a normal person there for some event they're having, but really undercover for the investigation. I'm not sure, but I feel that money laundering and other shady things were going on behind closed doors. As I'm investigating, mingling with just other normal people, there's an announcement for the concert hall for a concert/rave. So I head over there, again it's a large building and there was such a crowd at this place. I get over there and I'm "enjoying" the concert, it's like Jesus EDM they're playing too lol.

Well, I notice after a minute that the walls around the stage look "fuzzy" and kind of glitching a bit. I said out loud "This is wrong, I know something is wrong here." And like a switch flips, and the wrong area fully glitches back to looking like an abandoned warehouse, all dusty and decrepit. Like me noticing it made the false overlay break.

The music stops pretty abruptly from that, and I'm looking around because a bunch of people are now screaming and running. You can tell who is actually part of the church, as they're dressed in blue shirts and khaki pants. They all turn to me and I'm not sure what to expect, but certainly not these people shape shifting into giant bug-like humanoid or alien things.

At this point I'm surrounded and even though I try to fight them off, I get bit in the neck vampire style and black out in the dream.

When I come to, I'm dressed as they are and this young Asian woman is smiling, telling me "Oh, you're awake!" And is like actually very nice and starts to explain some things to me. Apparently now I'm "one of them" and we all share the "mind of the father" which I come to understand is a sort of hive mind situation. Well anyways, she gives me a tour and there's other weird things like a giant room packed like a maze of vending machines. Like, all the vending machines that exist are there.

I notice like, other whatever these people are following hive mind type behaviors (I'm actually a science major in real life). And I notice that when something seems to trigger this behavior, for whatever reason it does not for me. I just pretend to follow, and think "ah I'll get to the bottom of this" like yeah nobody has ever died in a horror movie this way, stupid dream self.

I end up following a group that shifts into the bug looking things, and I'm like "oh maybe I can shape-shift too" but I turn into more of a gargoyle so I can follow them without my wings being heard. They have those dragonfly buzzing wings, and I figured that leathery wings couldn't be heard over that.

So I follow, they don't notice, cool cool cool. Get to another church, somehow this one is like castle level, and it's where they're meeting the "father" which I can only assume means the head of this group.

I'm like sneaking around, and eavesdropping when someone places their hand on my right shoulder, feels like a large men's hand, leans in close to whisper in my righ ear "You're not supposed to be here." Ugh, that voice sent chills down my spine, it was deep and even though whispered, the threat in it was evident. I did not get to see who said this to me.

And I WAKE UP dude. Before my alarms were set to go off. I know this because as I'm waking up like wtf was that dream, my first alarm goes off.

So, like am I just insane now or have such an overly active imagination that it produces dreams that I could actually write a book about? This isn't the first time this has happened, I've ridden dragons, chased tornadoes, met spirit bears that turned into snow, just so wild. I just found this subreddit and thought I'd share this crazy dream and see what your thoughts are lol thanks for reading! 🤗
