kinda a Downer Head Cannon I've had for a while now but I think Branch or more specifically Tv show Branch was Bullied as a kid.

since he would have been the Quiet Weird kid who stood out from the rest due to his Greyness and overall personality probably making him an easy target for other kids similar with Creek and Cloud Guy in present day.
like I love him but lets be honest there's no way this precious nerd wasn't picked on as a kid 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
