some people on Tumblr had had the cute idea of Branch actually being very close with Kismet and his Bros maybe feeling insecure over somewhat being Replaced by them.

and I'd love to see that in the future it'd feel very satisfying for one knowing that Branch didn't just put his life on hold for his bros forever and he did actually move on and two because it'd be a nice slap in the face to Brozone if Branch kept blowing them off to spend time with his old band mates.

tho he wouldn't be trying to hurt them on purpose of course he'd just be very happy to see his Band mates again.

if they were in town visiting and Branch was shown being very close with them and Bro zone did sit around feeling jealous and sorry for themselves only for maybe Floyd since he's probably the most level headed one.

to point out they were being very petty for feeling this way and if anything they should actually be happy for him that he got close with other people since for all he knew they were never coming back.

anyway as to when Kismet entered his life well that's kinda up for a bit of Debate.

I Read someone else's idea about Kismet having maybe been other kids who Branch met in a care home following his Grandma's death and they all befriended each other and started their little boy band.

tho as much as that idea melts my heart I do hate to admit that it wouldn't really fit with Branch's backstory given he supposedly never sang after his Grandmas death due to blaming himself.

but I do love the idea of Kismet being made up of loner misfit kids who all befriended each other when they had no one else so maybe it could tie in with the other options.

like maybe Branch met them after his bros left but before his Grandma died but he pushed them away and cut contact after her death and only got back in touch after the first movie.

or he could have just met them after the first movie as other people had the idea that he joined their Band to try and improve his social skills and make friends.

given how out of practice he was so maybe that could still work with my little HC as they could have been a group of friends/ a Band who all also came from troubled backgrounds and befriended each other.

and after the first movie Branch heard about them and went to ask if he could join to improve his social connections and Kismet had never met Branch before.

but they did know of him due to his Reputation as the village's crazy loner who always crashed social events so they accepted him pretty quickly given he seemed like exactly the kinda person who'd fit Right in with their little group of misfits 😂😂😂😂

and the Rest is History like I said I just like to think Regardless of when Branch met them Kismet had always been a tight knit group of other kids from troubled backgrounds who kinda became each other's family.

making it pretty easy for someone like Branch to be accepted into their group and to get close with them.
