I read this post on Tumblr the other day that made me think about this a bit like do you imagine the bros or mainly Branch would be somewhat more upset towards Bruce since he not only left and never came back but also went on to have a new family and forget all about them?

like maybe its a bit of self projection but I have to think especially for Branch that would sting knowing that during the years he was upset and alone after Grandma died and waiting for his brothers to come back Bruce had just moved on and forgotten all about them and made himself a new family.

I'd kinda like it if this did get mentioned in the future like maybe Branch didn't want to admit it due to not wanting to appear petty or bitter towards Bruce's family.

but he does eventually get upset and admit his feelings on the fact that Bruce just moved on and forgot about him while he waited for him to come back for all those years.

and Bruce could be more understanding and admit to being regretful over never coming back but maybe he shows them that he actually always kept a special Room or something where he kept his old pictures of his Brothers.

and a few odd things that Belonged to them that he took with him when he left so he'd have something more to remember them by.

and he Somberly states that he did think about coming back but as the years went by it just got harder and harder to convince himself to come back and face him and Grandma not to mention Clay and Floyd if he did try and find them as well.

and that he just assumed Branch and Grandma were fine without him.

I'd kinda like this as it may not be entirely Right Judging him for going and starting a family but it would be somewhat Human in my opinion.

since all Branch can think is how when he was a Traumatised alone child he waited for him to come back but Bruce was just off starting a new family not even giving him a second thought. ( or at least that's what Branch thought anyway )

and maybe for a bit of Humour after all this has transpired JD butts in and says something like
"" ya know I was actually pretty upset by this as well ""

and Bruce nonchalantly states "" well I'm sure you'll get over it "" 😂😂😂😂

so anyway yeah what do you think about this idea? do you think it could work? or do you think it wouldn't Really be in character for Branch? or any of the others?

I just thought it was interesting to think about.
