it sorta would have been an awkward situation given they probably couldn't have Gristle Jr lock her up since technically her mass murder of the Trolls wasn't a crime at the time she did it and also most of the Bergen population who are over the age of 20 would also be guilty of the same crime.

and obviously Gristle Jr couldn't lock up every Bergen who had ever eaten a Troll since that would likely be most of the population.

but also them forgiving her and letting her stay in Bergen town would be a tough choice to make as well given all the Trolls who lost loved ones to her including Branch.

so I kinda Doubt he would just be okay with letting her walk away unpunished given all the Trolls she killed including his Grandma.

so what do you think the characters would have done in this situation? I find it interesting to think about.
