gonna be Brutally Honest here I feel the Fandom gives Floyd way too much Credit just for saying Goodbye.
Post Body

like a lot of the fandom seems to consider him the best Brother simply because he said goodbye and he acknowledged that Branch was an adult in present day.

but I'm sorry his actions are just as bad as the others and in some cases worse considering the others left due to heated family tensions whereas Floyd left to go start a solo career so basically he left his Brother and Grandma for financial gain lol.

not to mention he promised to come back but as far as we know never even tried which actually makes him worse than John Dory in that Regard given he at least tried to come back eventually only for it to be too late.

not to mention despite his limited screen time we still never saw him actually apologise or explain himself to Branch so yeah I feel the fandom gives him too much credit just for doing two things which are pretty minor in the Grand scheme of the story.

given how the film didn't take the time to address this I sorta wish they'd just made it where V and V had him captive for years as opposed to a couple of months as sure it'd be a lot darker but it'd make it more tragic as to why he never was able to come back for Branch.

as opposed to just an awkward story detail that the writers hope we forget since they don't really have a good answer for it lol all we'd have to do is age V and V up a little so they could be old enough to have taken Floyd maybe a year or 2 after he initially left to start his solo career.

as it is tho Floyd is just as bad as the rest of the family in my opinion at least in Regards to the Breakup and never returning afterwards tho he's still slightly better than JD and Bruce given their cruel behaviour towards Branch in the argument scene.

what do you think?
