from the moment he was first nabbed by Chef at Pop Village Creek was in a lose lose situation given he was unlucky enough to be the one picked by her to be eaten by Gristle Jr so its not like he had the option that the other Snack Pack members had of staying put Hoping Poppy would come and Rescue them.
we see in his Betrayal scene that Creek was quite literally in Gristle's mouth before he finally did the only thing he could think of and agree to sell the others out and Really think about Poppy and Branch's reactions to finding out he's still alive.
they both get mad at him and take turns strangling him but when you think about it their reasoning is kinda Jerky tbh as its basically "" Creek your not dead? you better explain yourself right now you Jerk ""
and there Really wasn't much else he could have done to prevent his fate after he agreed to sell out the Village he was stuffed in Gristle's Necklace and later when Poppy and the others retrieved it Creek had already been moved from there.
and the next time they see him is when they are all in the cage so he couldn't exactly go back on his promise to Chef then as he still would have been killed straight away and even after he lured the rest of the village out he still wasn't exactly danger free as during the climax he pokes his head out of Chef's waist bag.
meaning he'd been stuffed back in there for the whole climax still Basically a prisoner as much as the others and of course in the end credits scene we see that as soon as he isn't useful anymore she tries to eat him before she herself gets eaten by the mountain creature.
so Basically Creek's only choice was to either do what he did or die Horribly as there's no other point in the film where he could have done things different that wouldn't have still Resulted in his death so sure you could say its not exactly moral or logical sacrificing dozens of others to save 1 life.
but in the face of Gruesome death who can say how we'd all React plus Dying for others may be noble but a normal citizen isn't actually obligated to do so only people who chose Jobs of public protection and service are such as Police Officers and Firefighters.
if anything I Blame Creek more for being a Jerk to Branch at the start given that was done for no real reason other than pettiness whereas what he did later was because his life was in danger.
so yeah I agree with people that his Return in TBGO was a bit Rushed and I think that him being more slowly accepted back into the village could have made for a good arc that lasted longer than a single episode but I don't agree with people who say that his character was irredeemable or that he deserved to stay dead.
to be Honest I judge Peppy for his Negligent leadership and life altering lies to Poppy and Bro zone for their selfish actions and Petty Behaviour more than I Judge Creek.
