Branch reverting back to that scared child in the background while they fight and then being casually told that his brothers were just gonna leave him again was heart-breaking to be honest I don't think they really did enough to earn any sort of forgiveness at the end.

kinda Hope its made clearer in any future content of the franchise that their not exactly just a perfect happy family now just because they sang a song together.

I read this great fanfic recently that took place shorty after TBT that showed Branch spending time with his bros learning more about them while also secretly trying to not get too attached due to thinking that once they left to go back to their own lives they would just leave him again for good.

and honestly this fic was pretty great it had him learn more about each of his bros find common ground with JD due to his years of living in isolation as well plus even after he has these big emotional showdowns with his bros over his feelings of Distrust towards them.

Branch still admits to himself that they probably won't ever not have issues due to how their family broke up before but they are willing to keep fighting to keep their family together even after they all go back to their other lives.

anyway point is I kinda Hope whatever piece of Trolls media we get next be it another Holiday Special or another TV show or the next main movie has this similar message with Bro zone as the family issues are pretty big and serous and the movie wrapping it up as quick as it did did a disservice to the characters in my opinion.

plus its just an overall better message to have especially for a children's franchise whereas forgive and forget despite serous mistreatment and just push those negative feelings down deep inside is not and can be a very harmful message regarding families and just any sort of personal relationship really.
