what I mean is do you think that out of all DreamWorks characters ever created not just in the Trolls franchise that Branch has the most tragic background?

I mean look at the facts when he was a baby his parents are absent so they either died or left him he was abandoned by his 4 older bros for something that wasn't his fault and was out of his control.

he saw his Grandma get killed when he was still a little kid and blamed himself and as a result spent over 20 years as a paranoid anti social ptsd stricken wreck who lived in constant fear of the Bergens coming back and who was pretty much mocked and ignored by the rest of the Village.

not to mention certain things that happen in the movies in present day like nearly being force fed to Gristle JR by the same Bergen who killed his Grandma or letting his bros back into his life only to be callously told that they were gonna leave him again when the mission was over.

my poor boy Branch is Hella tragic and I'm not sure I can think of any other DreamWorks character who's past or present was sadder. what do you think?
