just what's your personal opinion as obviously we don't know for sure until the film comes out but I am pretty curious if they knew or not since if they did know and either chose not to return to see Branch or came back for the funeral but then left him again soon afterwards.

I think it would actually be a pretty big deal as it would mean they abandoned their youngest brother while he was in a severe state of Grieving after being the only one to witness their Grandmother dying.

and of course we know that as a result Branch became a paranoid hermit so if it is the case that the Brothers were aware of her death but still weren't there for Branch even tho he was in such a bad way it Honestly makes them look pretty bad.

and I'd Hope if this is the case that the film actually addresses how serous it is and has the brothers actually work to earn Branch's trust back.
