So I always found combining a pain in the ass because of the extremely limited UI. You have to go through every ingredient individually to check what you can make, and it doesn't even tell you what effects the resulting mixture has. I spent hours on this, which is unacceptable, so obviously I decided to spend hours compiling a cheat sheet instead. And it'd be a waste to keep it to myself: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qfoxi51YlYg8EPu_Hxy3PFwTACEqq5J0Uhb4UTSHsKQ/edit?usp=sharing
Some explanation:
Recipes are ordered into 7 categories: Health, Stamina, Health Stamina, Curatives, Boosters, Other, Concoctions. The first 3 categories are sorted by a rating I derived using the simple formula (sum of restorative effects)/(weight). The resulting numbers are multiples of 1000 rounded to one decimal point. Curatives affecting the whole party are multiplied by 4. So basically the rating tells you how many restoration points the curative allows you to carry around given limited carry weight.
The other categories are ordered alphabetically (in reverse, for reasons). Obviously concoctions are only useful as ingredients. They are helpfully color coded. If an ingredient is underlined or highlighted, it means a recipe for it is included in the list. Numbers in brackets after ingredients indicate that the recipe will result in more than one item. A "|" indicates that there are multiple options for the second ingredient.
I did not include all recipes, only a limited selection of stuff I personally find useful. I also did not factor in trading in any way (except two ales Selene trades for just one ingredient). I furthermore did not include duplicate versions of recipes using the kept variant of an ingredient.
