New form of stun locking?

It’s definitely a skill issue on my part but lately I’ve noticed these people in pvp that pause after attacking then move forward or something then attack again and gives them a huge combo and stuff and it’s almost completely unavoidable. It makes me really discouraged to play pvp and is it reportable or something? I just kinda wish it didn’t exist so that I could have fun playing pvp. Also I know I don’t have to win to have fun in pvp it’s just this new stun lock sucks all the fun out of it
