A little clarification about heat weapons...

I was reading the bit in the wiki about heat GS, and saw this line:
'This charged slash combo variant loses the 4 times elemental damage boost.'
Does that mean the heat GS loses the the 4x elemental damage on charged attack altogether or just on the additional hits?
