As the text says, this is my first time attempting to DM. I managed to get a 4 player party. 2 paladins a clockwork Sorcerer and a Barb.

The first session went by fast and they knocked out the basics for 2 quest, and reached level 3. I know I need to work on delving deeper into the story.

So our Second session, I decided to have a town session. I discovered I need to develope the NPCs in town more.

Fast forward to the night I decided to have an event. I didn't like the idea of Orcs, so I'm giving the Dragon a following of Kobolds. They with the Dragon attacked Phandalin. The players help set up an ambush, for the kobold and they mostly repelled them successfully. I gave the kobold a shield version and sorcerer and one of them was changed into a wererat, to hint at the presence of were in the area.

The town lost 5 villagers.

Working on developing the area and characters. But I managed a good battle, which I envisioned as the battle in 13th Warrior.

I gave the town 15 able body commoners with crossbows and bows. They managed to score 2 hits and a critical on the Dragon forcing it to fly off after it froze 5 with its breathe attack.
