I have finally gotten to the Taash and Bellara "barv" scene. I hadn't watch it previously and it was consistently told to me that the scene consisted of Rook (yes, people think it's Rook (ie your personal avatar thus people take it way more personally), not Isabella) doing push-ups as punishment for misgendering Taash. That's technically what's happening but it's explained in the scene itself that it's tradition for the LOF to do push-ups for ANY PERCEIVED WRONG DOING, not just misgendering someone on accident. The scene is simply to show how the LOF cares for Taash's gender identity and sees it as basic respect.
It's being sold to unassuming people as the tyrannical trans person punishing you personally (again, people seem to think your created character does this) for a simple, honest mistake when it seems like an elective thing that people do of their own volition to say their sorry (as is tradition for any faux pas in the LOF. Taash doesn't even tell anyone to do it) . It's quite literally a little quirky scene to show camaraderie amongst a faction.
EDIT: To just add, Bellara does her set of push-ups cause she forgot to ask if anyone wanted the last cheese wand (a common social mistake), not because she misgendered Taash. Everyone is making it seem like it's a whole group of people just endlessly doing pushups for daring to disrespect a trans person.
EDIT 2: Removed the last line because it's inflammatory without being constructive
EDIT 3: Fixed some spelling mistakes and changed, "trans woman" to "trans person" as I myself have misgendered Taash. I guess it's time for my court mandated ultra marathon overseen by Trick Weekes, am I right, gamers?
