Here's a little backstory:

I turned 21 recently so I was excited to start sports betting as it is legal in my state. I signed up for Draft Kings and put in my social security number and all that info and got verified pretty quick. I decide I want to take advantage of all the promos so I will deposit a large amount to get a lot of promo money and then bet it on low risk bets until I can pull it out.

The mistake I made however was I used a venmo debit card to deposit money. I had a decent amount of money in there from odd jobs in college so I only had to use money from my venmo account. I deposit the $500, place two bets, both bets hit and then about 2 hours after that I receive notice that my account has been locked and I need to provide more information.

I submit a picture of me and my ID and it says they also need a bank statement because "accounts not under your name were used to fund your account". This is untrue however as my venmo debit card says my exact same legal name and the only difference would be the billing address as it is my college address. I explain to the customer service rep that I used a venmo card and they only provide account statements as a whole and do not provide any card only statements. I go ahead and submit my venmo statement that shows the $500 charge to them as well as a screenshot from my venmo app showing my venmo debit card information. They came back and said that they would be unable to unlock my account because I couldn't provide a bank statement even though I explained this is the only statement that venmo provides.

At this point I have tried to send any piece of supporting evidence I can to them from venmo and they keep denying it and telling me they are going to keep my money. I have started working with venmo to see if I can dispute the charge and get the money back that way because even though draftkings knows I am providing all that I am able to they keep asking for a bank statement that doesn't exist for a venmo card.
