There's a part of me that strongly suspects that either Bates or Anna murdered SOMEONE.
Post Body

I know that canonically they were both cleared of all charges based on more or less irrefutable evidence. And yet, the fact that they both had motives, and that a husband and wife both being erroneously charged for separate murder being extraordinarily unlikely makes me think SOMEONE is less innocent than we believe.

I'd say that Anna pushing Greene into the bus is the most convincing charge, in terms of modus and means. She was right there in London when he died, mere blocks away with no alibi. And yet someone else confessed. Could the confession have been coerced or made by someone delusional? I'd say while it isn't likely, it's plausible.

Anyone else get the suspicion that either Mr or Mrs Bates is not so innocent?
