Molesley character changes

I recently started rewatching and have noticed for the first time the changes in Molesley as the show progressed.
He was so quiet, so dignified, so correct, so humorless, the perfect butler and valet in the first season.
I am enjoying watching his inner excitable goofball start to escape as time goes on.
