Over the last couple of weeks, the spread of covid-19 is something that kept the world very busy. There have been a lot of changes since the last press statement by the Foreign Office.
The travel advice has since then been updated to advise against all but essential travel for the following regions:
Mainland China
Iran
Lombardy and Veneto regions in Italy
Daegu and Cheongdo regions in South Korea
If you have travelled to the UK from the Hubei province in China in the last 14 days we advise you to self-isolate at home and call 111. Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or the hospital. This also applies to people who have travelled from Iran, Lombardy and Veneto in Italy or in Daegu and Cheongdo regions in South Korea since 19 February, even if you do not have symptoms.
If you have travelled to the UK from mainland China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand in the last 14 days and have symptoms (a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath), self-isolate at home and call 111.
If you have travelled to the UK from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, or other parts of northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini) since 19 February and have symptoms (a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath), self-isolate at home and call 111.
In England, Wales and Scotland call 111. In Northern Ireland call 0300 200 7885.
