My ideas to make the Battlepass better

Most complaints are, that a progression system is missing:

My idea:

  • Each Win gives 100 BP, each loss 25 BP (for games longer than 20 minutes)

  • Lets assume we have 100 days of Battlepass left. 50% Winrate.

  • Most players only play 2-3 games a day. Lets say you play alot, and play 10 games a day. Thats 5 wins, and 5 losses. Which results in 625 Points each day.

  • That would result in ~63 levels

  • You would have an incentive to play the game.

Sideshop: I think the removal was a mistake. They should have kept it.

Idea: - Reimplement the sideshop

  • Earn Sideshop Gold via Guild Quest

  • Each Quests you complete gives 10 * StarLevel Gold --> A 3 Star Quest would give 30 SideShopGold

  • The global Guild quest gives 25 Gold to all guild players after completion

  • You don't earn Gold via BattlePass Levels

  • This would give an incentive to play the game which is good for the playerbase and is a rewarding system. Getting the arcana should still be nearly impossible but you can get sneaky Portal Bundles or a few treasures. And its fun!

  • Also makes the guild more interactive. Quque with guildmembers to complete quests etc.

  • Maybe even add a Rylai token as an Sideshop reward.

Cavern Crawl Matchmaking :

  • Straight forward: Unranked. You and the other 9 people can only pick their cavern Crawl heroes.

  • No Bans in this gamemode.

  • Matchmaker needs to match people in a way that more then 10 different heroes are available, which shouldn't really be a problem

Rylai Wheel:

2 Ideas:

- 1st: Simply make the sets tradeable or at least giftable. Like seriously: Does it really make a difference if instead of 1000 4 cent sets 2000 4 cent sets are on the steam market? Not really. Also valve would get the sneaky 1 cent share from the steam communiy market.

2nd Idea: Recycle system. 3 Sets from Rylai Wheel (if you have not unpacked them) can be recycled into this thing from some years ago. Where you need to predict 3? Wins in a row. If you are successful: You get a random immortal treasure. If not: You get this blue gem which (someday) can be recyled.

Maybe in the end all together this results in 100? Free levels for someone who plays alot of dota. He gets closer to level 200-300 and maybe decides, because he is really close to get these nice looking Arcanas to buy some more Battlepass levels. (Which would be good for valve)

I think these small changes would give a nice incentive to actively play the game. Reward you for playing (Progression system). Increase Guild play. Sideshop is back and useful and with playing the game you can gamble each day a bit. But also don't give out to much free stuff / to much free levels.
