Hi, r/DotA2. There has been a huge backlash from the players (including Terrorblade spammers) and the DOTA 2 community regarding Terrorblade's recently added 7.22d Aghanim's Scepter upgrade. As we all know, and for those who don't know yet, his scepter upgrade is as follows. "After casting Metamorphosis, a wave travels outwards in all direction causing enemy heroes to become feared upon impact."

On paper, this sounds and looks pretty good but in actual practice, it is pretty MEH and kind of so-so especially where it's sitting at when compared to other scepter upgrades like Clinkz and Phantom Assassin. This is not something we were quite expecting from IceFrog/Valve when handling a complex hero like Terrorblade but there's nothing we can do about since it's been patched into the game. With that in mind, I've come up with two ideas to rework his scepter upgrade. So check it out below:

UPGRADES: METAMORPHOSIS

V.1 Upgrade

  • Original Bonus Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80
  • Scepter Bonus Damage: 30 / 50 / 70 / 90

  • Original Metamorphosis Duration: 40/44/48/52
  • Scepter Metamorphosis Duration: 45/50/55/60

  • Original Metamorphosis Cooldown: 155
  • Scepter Metamorphosis Cooldown: 70

  • Original Base Movement Speed: 280
  • Scepter Base Movement Speed: 305

V.2 Upgrade

  • After casting Metamorphosis, during its entire duration, Terrorblade is immune to Stun, Shackle, Sleep, Cyclone, Movement Slow, Attack Slow, Silence, Break, Mute, Forced Movement, Root, Leash, Hex, Trap, Taunt, Fear, Hide, Ethereal, Disarm, Blind.
  • Terrorblade will also gain damage immunity from all 3 primary damage types: Physical, Magical, and Pure

Let me know what you guys think about the two upgrade ideas above for reworking Terrorblade's current 7.22d Aghanim's Scepter Upgrade and which among the two you would favor to have it applied and patched into the game.
