Invoker is spammed at 2-3k. What can I do to to be better prepared against Invoker lineups?

I'm not sure when exactly it happened because I play this game on and off quite a bit but Invoker is the "cancer" hero you see in almost every game at 2-3k. I use my ban every game against Invoker and when he doesn't get banned he will surely get picked. Going against Invoker the hero feels like he is good at every stage of the game and has a spell for almost any situation you can think of. He feels like a perfect hero. However, no hero that perfect exist so there is obviously something I am missing and doing wrong. What can I do to go against Invoker, the hero that has been destroying me in almost every game I go against him?
