I want to tell you all the story of my friend Nando, Nando is a happy, probably-healthy man I met at the day 1 afterparty of ESL One NYC this past year (RIP ESL One, sweet prince). He was excited, because he just got a job as a police officer that day, and he has hopes and dreams to become a detective one day. He's one of the best people I know and is really fun to play with.

When I began to play Dota 2 with him, I saw his profile and saw somthing I couldn't believe: a profile full of Io matches. This man, he was almost unconditionally going Io support in every game. He is much lower MMR than I am, he is basically trench, and he carries his team. His teams love him though, he has mastered the Wisp and embraced it and helps in any way possible.

But something tragic as of late has happened. Instead of his legacy hero, he has turned to the far-inferior Elder Titan. He has abandoned his legendary post as the Io player and started the trail towards the hero we neither deserve nor ask for.

With an Arcana Vote for Io, we can make this based hero relevant again. Icefrog will have no choice but to make Io playable once more and then, maybe then, he will return to support his team like the ward wife we all need. Only we, the Dota 2 community, can vote for the arcana that this man deserves.

When he has a wife and children one day, his children will too play Dota 2, and ask, "why the hell does Io look like a football covered in melted jello? Wtf is this." This moment will be more memorable than the first time he became a generic cop in a news article photo for a murder scene. He will have you to thank.
