How to become an effective late game Medusa?

So I had this game that I lost, I was medusa and my items were linkens, rapier(i died), manta, bkb, BoT,and skadi. I was up against a 6 slotted AM and a 6 slotted riki, now, only me and ursa was 6 slotted in our team and we were up against mega creeps. In your opinion how should I build items as medusa? And what are the best skill builds for her? Were my items bad considering this was a long game?
