Hi, I'm Roro. This is my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/simplyDOTA Some of you may know me as a random YouTube dude, or some of you may know me as that guy who did Dota 2 Daily, or Versus or whatever. The bottom line is that I'm starting a virtual Dota 2 School. www.simplydota.net/school
I'm looking for help from the community, if you'd like to help please post here and message me your skype and we can discuss things further. Article writers, bloggers, video producers, coaches, guide writers etc. As of now the guides of Dota 2 are super over-saturated and unoriginal. If you've seen any of my Dota 2 Video Lessons you'd know that I focus on the nuanced details/mechanics and things that actually matter when it comes to improving. (The things that are hard to learn like map awareness, decision making, efficiency, calculating aggression, winning lanes, etc)
The format of the SimplyDOTA University, would be similar to a virtual school if any of you have taken courses online. There would be a cirriculum (for example for Carry 101, there'd be a bunch of readings to do, then there'd be assessments and quizzes based off of the readings. Then you'd be assessed for a pass/fail based on a replay of yours that'd be analyzed by a Coach who'd judge your play based off of the requirements/things you'd need to learn for Carry 101). There'd also be a community forum, and a bunch of other learning resources. The opportunities are endless and hopefully we can get this ball rolling.
edit: Thanks to everyone that's posted I really appreciate all the great feedback. I've contacted numerous people whom I think would be a good addition to the School. As of now what I'm looking for is people that can head/lead a class. You'd be responsible for writing the curriculum, the assessments, the tests, quizzes etc etc. If you aren't interested in heading a class, but think you can help in some other way please feel free to leave me your Skype!
