Using shift as a hotkey modifier?

Currently it seems that I can't use shift as a modifier in dota2. I would really like to set shift q for quick cast (or maybe have q be quick cast and shift q be regular) I already use alt q for an item.
Is alt the only modifier key dota supports? Is there a workaround for this?
