I started playing Dota earlier this year, and for all intents and purposes I'm still a noob. I'm figuring out what the heros and characters do, and trying not to feed to horrendously.
But browsing this subreddit, I see so much stuff about competitive Dota. I watched Valve's documentary, learned a little bit about the teams, and followed a couple of competitive matches here and there. Obviously these guys are on a whole other level than me, but it is exciting to follow.
So, should I get the compendium and contribute to competitive Dota, or would it be wasted on me since I don't know enough yet?
