Something struck me as I watched the Alienware Cup last weekend, and again today during D2L. When you watch a top-tier carry player farming, you assume they're getting virtually every last hit. So when we say the following timings:
Hand of Midas - 6:00
Battlefury - 12:00
Radiance - 16:00
Linken's Sphere - 20:00
Blink Dagger - 10:00 (Batrider jungle)
We're roughly estimating based on a carry with near-perfect last hitting. But what is the actual fastest you could possibly get a Midas in the safe lane? I know the creeps give variable gold amounts, but let's just say:
Creeps always give the average of their gold bounty
Lane or jungle creeps only; can't do both
No hero kills
Not counting courier travel time
Doom and Alchemist don't count
What's the real floor on how fast you can get these items? Every now and then we see something that completely floors us (<10min BF on Burning, <4min Midas on Loda) but I think it would be good to find out for certain how fast you can really be.
