I've been playing this game since 2008, basically since I was 9 yrs old. Now I'm 24, still playing the game (well you could say trying to). I absolutely hate this fucking game, what it has become, what it represents, what it used to be and what kind of dog shit I see today. Even if I try my best attitude for 2 months and finally gain that 10k behavior score, there are position 4's who just sit behind me and sap experience instead of being any help or try to trade with their pos 5. And when you play pos 1, you get 5's that are just impossible to coordinate with, essentially does the sitting behind you to leech exp then leave the lane in 5-6 mins into the game. Mind you, this is Ancient 4-Div3 queues. It is practically impossible to play the game as core. Okay fine, then I'll queue support. When I try that, people pick the worst possible cores ever (pretty much impossible to win with). I'm talking Alchemist position 3's; as 4 me trying to help him, but the hero just doesn't have any survivability in early laning stage, he gets taken down once as I'm taking the wisdom rune, he just calls it and goes afk; looking only for farm. Then he goes on farming for radiance hand of midas, battlefury, or god knows what else he needs to further farm and contribute nothing to the overall game progress or the team. The game has become further complex with the wisdom runes, vision, controlling of the map, timings etc. Even in rather higher ranks (the average player is Archon in dota2), you get these cores that are completely incapable of working with you, doesn't matter what your behavior score is. Dota has come a long way since it's Blizzard Frozen throne days, and what made this game beautiful was that the community actually had a say in what's being invented, what's being nerfed. Now all you get is toxic players who doesn't understand the game, rushing to blame others. If people weren't going to play position 4;5 as supports, then why bother creating such ideas from the first place? Such a dog shit game honestly. OSFROG, your game has turned into utter rotten dog shit, and I'm ashamed to have played this game for decade and a half. I grew up watching WowDota, Dendi hook; when Miracle had reached 9k mmr for the first time, when Fear hadn't retired, when Puppey was smashing monitors, when Kuroky was at Na'vi, Ti's when this game was actually great and had proper community with a gigantic prize pool, undeniable prestige. Now the prize pool of The International is less than a major, although it should be the biggest E-sports event ever. The player count has obviously decreased significantly. Why bother making it further and further complex when all the players are leaving? Why bother adding positions into the game. If you're going to have this game look organized and sophisticated, then commit to the idea and enforce your rules with player's roles and take action against those who refuse to play their roles. Or completely dissolve the idea and take it back to its olden days where the game didn't have any such things as roles, expectations, strategies. That's what made this game fun. Shame on this game, its community, its new patches. No matter how hard you try, certain heroes on certain roles just don't work. Everyone knows that. Ultimately, no one likes losing because as humans we hate the idea of being perceived as a loser in society. Winning is very much important to dota players, and yet when you see some asshole picking position 5 sniper then going midas first item in your 10k behavior score 4500 mmr game. And when you ask them to stop contesting your farm, or not prioritize his own farm, they just say some snowflay butthurt comment then mute you. Having a civil conversation with dota2 player is essentially impossible, for example you'd ask your core as a support to not walk into opponent triangle without any vision, they'd start screaming on their mic accusing you of telling them what to do. Then they die without buyback anyways and in 3-4 mins the game is over. You put in all that effort spending almost an hour of your time from your day and support this guy, then he attacks his items because of the minor inconvenience he had come across. Ultimately, update by update this game degrades itself. It's community becomes increasingly mental by year, at some point it's practically impossible to have any normal conversation with person that should be your teammate.
