I was around 10 years old, it was the summer and we were walking in the hot sun, on a Sunday afternoon at the swap meet. I saw the video games on the floor and ran to them, and there it was, DOOM on the SNES. I asked my mom to get it for me but in typical mom fashion she said no, but then you step in and you offered to buy it for me. I grew gleefully as I now owned DOOM.

My dad passed away last night, and even thou he was my step dad he was so much more to me. You were every sense a badass as DOOMGUY was. You kicked ass and never gave up the good fight. I still own that red cartridge, buried somewhere in my mom closet but rest assure that when I find it, I will proudly display it next to a picture of you.
