Poor targeting priority or was it on purpose?

Most of the time the targeting priority puts me in a disadvantage.

There is some really poor targeting priorities in this game. Been so many times something will get to my wall and start hitting it, so my spells will target it. After that, if a second monster reaches the wall, it will become the new target, EVEN IF the first target is still alive.
