Hey! I live on a rural homestead in the PNW and want to participate more in my local farmers market. I was wondering if donkeys (if trained well enough) would be a suitable fit for pulling a cart into town and standing by the booth during sale hours (about 4-5 hours). Mainly concerned about unknown elements such as humans they’re unfamiliar with and dogs.
I’m aware that this would take ALOT of effort to do correctly, I just want to know if it’s feasible.
Sure, an appropriately sized donkey is totally capable of pulling a cart of appropriate weight and size a reasonable distance at a reasonable pace.
