Hello everyone

I'm hitting snags when trying to code in Livewire 3. Everything is working, but sometimes I run into issues that I cannot figure out for the life of me.

Right now I'm dealing with this timesheet situation where it opens a modal to allow editing. Everything works fine on the first open, but when you close and open a different one, one of the dropdowns isn't preselecting the database data.

For example:

clientId drop-down determines what clientAddressId drop-down has. clientId will be prepopulated based on database information, and clientAddressId is too.

If someone changes clientId to someone else, a new set of addresses loads in the clientAddressId drop-down so they can choose the address associated with the new selected clientId

Again, everything works great when you open the modal the first time. It's only when you open a different entry that ONLY the clientAddressId doesn't select itself. If I keep clicking the same one, it loads fine as well.

It's just a nightmare and I've tried everything I could think of so, I need some help here.

You can assist via TeamViewer or possibly some other ideas. I will not give access to my server or anything like that so you will need to be okay with either remotely viewing through TeamViewer, or maybe we can do GitHub and you can use on your local to fix and push back to a branch for review.

Please let me know your rate and what country you live in

Thank you
