Hi! I'm trying to make a semi-professional scripted fiction podcast/audio drama in my spare time, and I'd like to hire a scriptwriter. Since it's a limited run and my first attempt at one of these, it would take place over ten parts with no expectation for further development. Based on the length of an existing podcast, it would have a cumulative runtime of about 1:50-2 hours and about 14-16,000 words of spoken dialogue alone. However, this is not a requirement, and everything, including deadlines, can be highly flexible.
I have some existing ideas and rough outlines that you can work off of, or you can come up with your own thing, but collaboration throughout the process would be ideal.
It's optional, but any experience writing for an audio-only format or just scriptwriting in general would be very desirable. However, any background in creative writing is enough for a job like this. Anyone who thinks they can do it, regardless of prior work, is welcome to apply.
Payment will be via PayPal, and you will be credited by name in the final production. Depending on how the project goes, it may or may not be publically released on Spotify or other podcasting platforms. Feel free to message me if you're interested!
Note: If necessary to reduce costs/labor, AI assistance may be used to generate up to 1/3rd of the final product (i.e. filler dialogue, but the actual events of the plot should be entirely created by a human being with few exceptions).
