Just a friendly reminder that the Doms here aim for friendly, general encouragement rather than specific tasks or orders. As I wrote in the beginning (and is reflected in the rules), I'm a Dom, but I'm not your Dom.

We've had a couple of posts this week (one of which I removed with a message to the OP encouraging a more general support request) asking for specific tasks. I continue to feel these can and should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

I am not saying these individuals are unwelcome here or they have done something wrong. I just want to keep the tone of our little community toward the pep talk side of things rather than direct D/s. I also want to avoid those of us on the left side of the slash from falling into the role of "rent-a-Dom."

So, friends, please keep things to the gentle, general requests and responses.

I think this also helps protect the submissives who post here from falling prey to those who are looking for more than what this forum is designed for.

I think of the Dom/mes here as friendly big sisters and brothers (or elder NB siblings) to the subs, not as stand-ins for actual Dominants.

I hope that all makes sense. Again, I'm not shaming or criticising anyone; no one's done anything wrong. Read that again if you need to--I know how sensitive some subs can be to shame or disapproval. I'm just trying to keep this space true to my original intention. We're here to support with a bit of Dom energy thrown in, not to actually dominate directly.

I'm open to conversation about this, but, at the end of the day, I and the other moderators decide what is in and out of boundaries. We, and ultimately I, make the rules. (And, yes, I said that in my Dom voice. 😁)

I've honestly been amazed at how well this community has functioned overall and hope to keep it a safe, encouraging space.
