The Burn Out is Real 🔥
Post Body

Currently our store has a GM, 3 AMs, and 1 CSR (who can't work weekends).

I am one of only 2 full-time drivers. We have 1 temporary full-time driver, 6 part-time drivers, and 3 reservist drivers (extremely limited availability).

I was scheduled for 40 hours this week. I ended the week with over 47 hours. Last week I was scheduled 39 hours and ended the week with over 46 hours. The week before I was scheduled 40.5 hours and ended the week with almost 54 hours.

Though I was only scheduled 5 days this week, and 5 days the coming week, it still shook out that I'll be working 7 consecutive days. This coming week will the third consecutive week that I'm scheduled for an open to close shift.

I'm averaging around $27/hour. That's with wages, OT, mileage, and tips combined. I could never hope to make this kind of money anywhere else.

But my house is a disaster. My body is a disaster. My social life is a disaster. My overall mood is a disaster. I don't know how much longer I can do this. I don't know what they'd do if I left. And I don't feel like I can even suggest that they ease up on me a little.

Who out there is in this storm with me right now?
