Store taking tips out of paycheck

Long time lurker, first time poster

I’m pretty certain they’re in the legal right to deduct my tips from my paycheck, but I can’t find anything online about dominos doing this.

I guess I’m curious if this happens at every location or just my location. Also I feel like if people are tipping they should know their tip is really going to the store.

I should specify, when I get tipped, I’ll be given the amount of tips at the end of the night and leave with those tips in cash, but when I receive my paycheck the amount of tips I was given in cash is deducted from my total hourly pay.

This is an American store btw.
