Is there any standardization in the amount of sauce/cheese/toppings?
Post Body

Whenever I modify the quantity of sauce/cheese/toppings it seems like a complete crapshoot. I've received a lot of painfully undersauced pizza before, so I've taken to ordering extra sauce. Sometimes it's just the right amount, other times there's so much sauce that the cheese slides right off, and other times it's even less sauced than normal. Last night, for example, I ordered extra sauce and there were spots on the pizza that didn't even have any sauce at all. The same goes for toppings. For a while I was getting about 1-2 little pieces of pineapple on each slice, so I tried ordering extra pineapple and the pizza was covered in it, like 15 pieces on each slice and barely any cheese showing. It blew my mind because "extra" isn't even the highest quantity available.

What gives? Do they just read "extra" and put on whatever amount they consider to be extra? Or is this stuff measured out or quantified in some way? It's pretty frustrating, because sometimes it really ruins my meal.
