Hey reddit! I am a bit late to the party, but I think it's safe to say that it's better off this way. I come here as a huge Rui fan, and no, I'm not about to trash talk Hina.
First of all. This was way too rushed. The ending was shit because the manga author did not take her time to properly show why Natsuo ended up marrying Hina. It's clear that it was because his love for her grew during these 8 years (5 of coma and 3 of recovery), but it still doesn't add up. What about the poor little girl he had with Rui? How on earth will he explain it to her once she is old enough to understand? Didn't he think of it? Especially since he confidently stated that Rui is the one he loves prior to the time-skip
Talking of which. That woman will always be haunted by guilt and a low image of herself. She believes that Hina won, but that couldn't possibly be more false. I know Natsuo and Hina will help her out with Haruka and everything, but we all know how that will end up working.
I am well aware that my little 'rant' is a little newbie typing his opinion on this manga, but I couldn't help it. This manga is beautiful, and 10 more chapters would have done it a bit more justice. It's sad to see it end like this
